SPEAKERS

Jack Lazar

Jack is a public and private company CFO, GM and Corporate Development executive with experience managing Operations, Finance, Accounting, Investor Relations, Corporate Development, Business Development, HR, Legal, Sales Operations, Program Management and IT functions. Completed three IPOs and been the CFO at 4 public companies and 1 private company (that was eventually sold). Board member and advisor for two companies while completing their IPOs. Raised over $4 billion in financings and executed ~$15 billion in M&A transactions. Experience in multinational operations (Asia and Europe) and profitably growing companies from the start up phase to over $1 billion in revenue. Implemented global ERP systems, SOX infrastructure and integrated multiple acquisitions. Managed multiple companies with $1 billion + market capitalizations. Extensive experience dealing with buy and sellside investors. Currently board member at 4 public companies where he serves as either a member or chair of a variety of committees. Sold several public companies at significant premiums in public to public M&A transactions. Serves on the Santa Clara University Finance and Advisory Boards.


Michelle K. Lee

Michelle is a technology executive, board member, former CEO of a $3.4 billion organization, digital transformation strategist, MIT Artificial Intelligence Lab-trained computer scientist, Silicon Valley veteran experienced in scaling fast-growing companies with disruptive technologies, and top intellectual property expert. She is a leader with experience at the highest levels in technology, law, business and government who spent most of her career building and advising some of the country’s most innovative companies. Ms. Lee was previously Under Secretary of Commerce and Director of the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, being the first woman to serve as Director in the country’s 220+ year history, and is an advocate for women and girls in science, technology, engineering, math and computers. She was also Vice President of Amazon Web Services Machine Learning Solutions Lab. Ms. Lee also served as a independent director public and private company boards including for Unity, MassMutual, Callisto Media, alarm.com, and Nauto, Inc.

Paul Saffo

Paul is a Silicon Valley-based forecaster who studies the dynamics of large-scale, long-term technological change. He teaches at Stanford where he is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Engineering and is Chair of Future Studies at Singularity University. Paul is also a non-resident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council, and a Fellow of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences. Paul holds degrees from Harvard College, Cambridge University, and Stanford University.
