Diligent Director Confidence Index – April 2023

Diligent Institute issued the April Director Confidence Index, which saw a rebound in board optimism, despite an originally gloomy 2023 forecast. Directors rated current business conditions a 6.1 out of 10, reflecting a 5% increase from the previous month. They also predicted that business conditions 12 months from now will have the same score. Still, many expressed difficulties in planning as demand slows and economic uncertainty takes hold.
